Despite not many of you giving a damn, I decided to share anyway; I might have found a way to go to JAFAX this upcoming year.
Since the only two conventions I can attend are Youmacon and JAFAX (both due to finances and parental units who don't want me going out-of-state for "a stupid convention") I'm actually pretty happy.
Anyway, and Megan (who doesn't have a dA because she's lame, lol) are going for the first time this--technically next--year. I was talking to ~TehSprinkle and came up with the brilliant idea of just sharing the hotel room with them (since I really don't buy things at cons anymore and the hotel is the most expensive thing). She thought it was a good idea, and basically just told Megan what was going on. Lol, I bet she felt so included.
So there is a very good chance I will be attending JAFAX 15 in 2010. I will be going as Near (Death Note) and Azure Kite (.hack//G.U.). ~TehSprinkle will be Mello (Death Note) and Alkaid (.hack//G.U.) or Axel (Kingdom Hearts). Megan will be going as Light (Death Note) and perhaps Link (Zelda).

Edit (Again) -- ACen I may be going to ACen. I am going to ACen. :3 Pretty stoked; got the a-okay from the parental unit this morning and she offered to "chaperon" for us so we don't have to look for one of those. (Chaperon as in... go with us and just stay at the hotel Lol. Because it's more appealing to other adults to have one of those around a bunch of people under 21, I guess... At least, from what I've noticed...) So far I have two people from "my group" who are really interested, ~TehSprinkle and Taylor (~TehSprinkle is asking Megan, too so we might be splitting a room 4 ways. x3) If all goes well, I'll be going and splitting hotel costs with two (or three) people instead of forking over $600 for my own room by myself. c: (I'm always just so worried about hotel costs... Lol. Screw food and gas. xDD) Still debating whether or not to make Azure Kite's weapons. I most likely will, although I'm probably going to get irritated with carrying them around... and whether to paint my whole face a sort of greenish...

Sometimes words just can't express what something was like. Really. There's no way I can think of how to explain what Youmacon was like. Especially since until this time I had never been to one.
I met some really amazing people. I'll never forget them. Even if I might never know what their real names were. Even if I might never see them again. I'll remember them.
It's unfortunate my Mello cosplay didn't turn out as well as I really would have liked it, but struggling financially isn't something that makes a good outfit easy to make. I'm skipping JAFAX next year to save for a hotel in the new building Youmacon is occurring in and making a better cosplay. For the first time ever as such a difficult character, at least I didn't look too terrible. I think.
I still make a better Near.
Also, I got a feather from a Shinigami (From a Ryuk whose group I ended up joining/walking with. I should have gotten a picture of all of them) and a little toy soldier... whose name is "Todd, the little man who fell from the sky."

So I'm totally stoked for Youmacon. I got my Mello vest yesterday back from my aunt... it's a little big, but hopefully that won't be bad. :/ Going to get my boots/wig and a new belt on Sunday. All of mine are old and tattered. I've been saving chocolate for like 5 months (It's all unopened so it should be keeping, considering it's got like a 2 year expiration or something... I don't know, I'll just eat the new stuff if the stuff that I got first has expired.) >.> I'll put up a couple pictures when I get back if I get any worth sharing. My friend is still going as Matt. She says she might bring her Sasori outfit, too, so I'll be a Mello with a Matt... and maybe a Near with a Sasori... or a Matt. Yep. *sprawl*
I know I seem like a huge nerd because I love cosplaying and stuff... but really, it's just who I am. If you like anime and have ever considered going to a cosplay, I would highly recommend it. Find one in your area or close by, and go to it. You don't even have to dress up; not everyone does. I think I've said this before, but still. I'd probably grab a friend if at all possible, just because it's a little intimidating at first... especially if a lot of other people have been attending for years and you're there for the first time. Most people are really friendly and willing to help if they can, though. Especially me. (:

Going to see Zombieland tomorrow. Hopefully it'll be as good as I've heard.
College starts on August 31. Not excited. Don't really care, beyond having to go back to school being a bastard. I need to get my license so I can drive there though. OTL I hate driving.

So a lot of people I know are in or have been in the hospital recently, not to mention one of my friend's grandparents.
My mum was in on Friday for a hysterectomy (she was out the same day), and I got a call at 10:00 last night from my boyfriend and found out he was in a hospital in Midland because he lost three of his fingers in a jet skiing accident. I went to see him today when I woke up (he's home now, and last I heard doing well considering). AND I STILL LOVE HIM; curse you assholes who will abandon someone just because something bad happened to them! D< ...And one of my friends OD'd (she's okay, thankfully, and I don't know anything else about that at the moment.) And my friend's grandmother, too, although I don't know her grandma I know I'll have to be there for her too if something happens.
Yay tragedy and not knowing what the hell to do because I'm not used to bad things happening to people!
